Accra,- Hasaacas Ladies FC have landed in Ghana after their impressive performance at the just ended Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Women’s Champions League in Cairo, Egypt.
The team arrived at the Kotoka International Airport on Monday, November 22, and were received by the Chairperson of the Women’s Premier League, Hillary Boaten, and other stakeholders in the football industry.
Hasaacas Ladies, a Sekondi-based club, put up a sterling performance in the inaugural Women’s Champions League as they traveled to the finals of the competition.
The “Doooo” lads, despite their fighting spirit, lost 2-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa to pick the silver medal.
Hasaacas beat AS Mande, drew 2-2 with Wadi Degla, and walloped Malabo Kings at the group stage before edging past AS FAR of Morocco at the semi-final stage.
Coach Yussif Basigi and his charges were the first team to advance to the last four stage.
