Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has arrived in the camp of the Black Stars in Doha, Qatar, where the team is preparing for the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The player had to report to camp late after FIFA extended the release date for clubs in Europe especially England.
Last Saturday, Thomas Partey starred for Arsenal when the team unfortunately suffered a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in the English Premier League.
Subsequently, Thomas Partey has now travelled to Doha where he has linked up with other Ghana players to prepare for the upcoming AFCON.
The 28-year-old midfield dynamo today is training with the Black Stars ahead of Ghana’s friendly match with Algeria on Wednesday, January 4, 2022.
Ghana is facing the defending AFCON champions before travelling to Cameroon on January 7 to gear up to the start of the delayed 2021 AFCON on Sunday, January 9, 2021.
Ghana will play its first match of the tournament in a Group C encounter against Morocco on Monday, January 10, 2022.
