Political satirist and musician, Kwame A Plus has advised young women who are of marriage ages to be careful when making choosing a partner.
According to him, choosing to be side chick will not be wrong as he believes that one may be happy than settling for terrible marriages.
His comments follow the glamorous marriage ceremony of renowned Nigerian actress, Rita Dominic which took place last week Tuesday.
The actress was 46.
Some women are reported to have said that they will also thread the path of the actress by waiting for the ‘perfect man’ but; Kwame A Plus indicated that most of these ladies may not be successful.
“Don’t keep at the back of your mind that Rita waited till she was 46 years old before getting married so you’ll also follow in that stead. In your case, you might wait for thousand years and still not be married.
“To the girls watching, if you’re in a serious relationship with some, try harder so you guys can get married. If you don’t feel like getting married, don’t force yourself. You are better off being a side chic than rushing into a terrible marriage,” he stated in a studio discussion on UTV over the weekend.
He advised women to turn deaf ears to societal pressures to get married.
“Marriage is not by force. Don’t make marriage a priority and be pressured by society. You can just have a child with a man and be just fine. Don’t trip over marriage because some marriages can make you regret it,” he added.
