Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim, has promised they will return stronger following their elimination from the 2022/2023 CAF Champions League first round.
The Porcupine Warriors lost 3-1 on penalties to Burkinabe side, Rail Club de Kadiogo at the Baba Yara Stadium in the return leg at the Baba Yara Stadium, after a 1-1 aggregate score.
In a tweet, Danlad pledged a better output from him and his teammates at Kotoko.
“Not the best results in the CAF champions league game yesterday but we promise to do our best this season. We are out but the season is not over. We shall be back.”
Asante Kotoko, led by Seydou Zerbo will now turn their attention to the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.
The Premier League champions will host Hearts of Oak in the matchday 3 games at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, 25th September 2022, with kick-off scheduled at 15:00GMT.
Kotoko has two outstanding league matches against Nsotreman FC and Bechem United.
