Cameroon: Cameroon have booked their place in the final of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations after eliminating hosts Morocco 3-1 on penalties following a goalless semi-final in Rabat. The Indomitable Lionesses held their nerve in a tense encounter that produced no goals after 90 minutes. According to Ghana Web, Morocco had a golden opportunity to break the deadlock late in the match but failed to capitalise, as Cameroon defended resolutely to force the contest into a penalty shootout. Cameroon then proved more clinical from the spot, winning the shootout 3-1 to send the hosts crashing out of their home tournament. The victory means Cameroon will face Malawi in the WAFCON final on Sunday, August 16, with both teams now one victory away from lifting the continental title. For Malawi, it is a first-ever WAFCON final on their tournament debut, while Cameroon will be aiming to claim the title after reaching the final with a dramatic victory over the hosts.
