Volta: The Volta Regional Football Association (RFA) Beach Soccer Committee has laid out its 2026/27 season programme, aiming to reinforce the region's status as Ghana's leading hub for beach soccer. The comprehensive plan, presented by Innocent Kumensah, Member in Charge of Technical and Competitions, has been endorsed by the Committee to bolster the sport across the Volta Region.
According to Ghana Web, the programme features the 2026/27 Regional Beach Soccer League, the Hogbe Cup, an international tournament, and initiatives for capacity building and grassroots development. The Chairman of the Volta RFA Beach Soccer Committee, Dzidodo Ruben Adjahoe, emphasized that the programme will guide the Committee's efforts throughout the season, focusing on structural development at all levels.
The plan extends beyond competition to encompass coach and referee development, school programmes, women and girls' participation, stakeholder engagement, and international exposure. Highlights of the season programme include team registration, coach and referee certification, league kick-off, and various tournaments and development programmes across the calendar year.
The Committee expects that these initiatives will establish a more structured pathway for players, coaches, and referees, while also enhancing grassroots participation. By leveraging Volta's historical and cultural affinity for beach soccer, the Committee aims to transform the region into a year-round center for development, competition, talent scouting, and sports tourism.
