Volta region: Mr Siki Abibu, the Volta Regional Political Coordinator, has commenced the second phase of an inspection tour across selected districts in the Volta Region to assess the progress of ongoing and completed government-funded projects. The exercise, which covered the South Tongu, Akatsi South, and Adaklu districts as well as the Ho Municipality, formed part of efforts to monitor the implementation of projects under the government's development agenda.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Abibu stated that the tour was intended to evaluate the quality of work, ensure projects were progressing according to schedule, and identify challenges requiring immediate attention. The inspection began in the South Tongu District, where the team assessed the 9.7-kilometre Gonu Junction-Sokladzi Junction Road project being executed by Bedrock Ventures, with approximately 6.9 kilometers already completed.
The coordinator also visited several educational projects funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), including a completed three-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Hlevi D/A Basic School and a two-unit kindergarten block at Aglokpovia, both awaiting official handover as part of government legacy projects.
Further inspections included a three-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Lakpo, funded through the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) and executed by Ezitec Building and Construction. At St Catherine Senior High School at Agbakofe, he assessed the construction of an assembly hall by Kadna Engineering and a two-storey dormitory project being undertaken by FEKIOP Limited. Both projects are expected to be completed by November 2026.
