Vinicius Jr Faces Four-Match Suspension, Missing Key Matches Including El Clásico

Baku:Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has been suspended for four matches following his red card in Saturday's La Liga victory over Villarreal.

According to Ghana Web, the Spanish Football Federation's disciplinary committee imposed the ban on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The suspension comes from an incident involving Villareal defender Nathan Saliba, where Vinicius pulled Saliba's hair away from the ball. Two matches were given for this incident, and an additional two for his protests after being sent off.

Vinicius will miss important league matches against Sevilla, Barcelona, Racing Santander, and Valencia, including the much-anticipated El Clásico against Barcelona on October 25, 2026. This absence is a significant blow to Real Madrid as they face critical domestic fixtures without one of their key attacking players.

Despite the suspension, Vinicius remains eligible to participate in UEFA Champions League matches during this period.
