Ghana: The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has released details concerning 355 West African immigrants who are either facing deportation or have already been deported. This list includes 30 individuals from Ghana.
According to Ghana Web, the list provided by ICE includes photos, names, and associated crimes of the individuals involved. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated that the list is meant to highlight those facing deportation for what it terms as the most severe criminal activities.
The DHS emphasized its commitment to removing what it describes as "the worst of the worst" criminal aliens, with the help of ICE. The agency is working under the leadership of DHS to fulfill the deportation promises made by President Trump, specifically targeting the individuals included in the released list.
Among those named is the Ghanaian socialite and musician Mona Montrage, also known as Haji4Real, who has already been deported to Ghana. Her inclusion on the list was due to her involvement in fraud, for which she was arrested in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
