Accra: The application for Upskill by Cardtonic 4.0 is now open, providing young tech enthusiasts with the opportunity to win brand-new MacBooks, fully funded scholarships, and cash prizes. This initiative, spearheaded by Cardtonic, a prominent fintech brand in Africa, continues to support tech enthusiasts by offering valuable resources and opportunities to propel their careers forward.
According to Ghana Web, since the inception of the Upskill initiative in 2022, Cardtonic has awarded over 50 brand-new MacBooks, along with cash prizes and potential job opportunities, to tech enthusiasts. With the current edition, Upskill 4.0, Cardtonic aims to offer even greater opportunities. These include twenty-five brand-new MacBooks, twenty fully funded AltSchool Africa scholarships, and monetary support for 15 runners-up, with each scholarship winner receiving ?250,000.
Upskill 4.0 is open to both Nigerians and Ghanaians, expanding the reach of the program and strengthening the bond between Cardtonic and Ghana's tech community. The initiative, now in its fourth edition, seeks to cater to tech professionals and newcomers alike, offering two distinct tracks: the MacBook giveaway and the Upskill by Cardtonic Scholarship Fund 2026.
Applicants for the MacBook track must demonstrate proficiency in tech categories such as design, content creation, data science and AI engineering, cybersecurity, product management, or software engineering, with strong proof of work. Meanwhile, the scholarship track targets tech newbies eager to build their careers, offering a fully funded AltSchool Africa diploma scholarship, plus ?250,000 cash support, to remove financial and educational barriers.
The application window for both tracks is from July 28 to August 28, 2026, with a rigorous selection process ensuring that the most deserving candidates are chosen. Applicants will undergo assessments and interviews, with winners announced between October 1 and 2, 2026. The selected individuals will receive their prizes on October 10, 2026.
