Accra: The University of Ghana has promoted Dr. Collins Badu Agyemang to Associate Professor of Industrial and Organisational Psychology, recognising his contributions to scholarship, leadership, and service.
According to Ghana News Agency, the promotion marked a milestone in his academic career and reflected years of work in mental health, organisational development, workplace wellbeing, and psychological research across Africa.
In separate statements, the University of Ghana's Department of Psychology and the Pan-African Doctoral Academy (PADA) described the elevation as 'well-deserved.' They noted that Prof. Agyemang's scholarly output, mentorship, and leadership had been instrumental in advancing psychological education and research at the University.
Professional bodies also welcomed the promotion. MentaPulse Africa, where Prof. Agyemang serves as Board Chair, commended him for his scholarship and impact on mental health, work, and wellbeing across the continent. The organisation highlighted the role his research had played in shaping evidence-based approaches to workplace mental health and organisational development.
