Accra: Ghanaian photography duo Emmanuel and Samuel Appiah Gyan, popularly known as Twinsdntbeg, have shared insights into the transformative influence of working alongside Samira Bawumia on their lives and careers. Speaking in a recent interview on ‘Keeping It Real with Joselyn Dumas,’ hosted by actress and media personality Joselyn Dumas, the twins reflected on their professional relationship with the former Second Lady and how it has shaped their outlook on leadership and personal growth.
According to Ghana Web, the duo emphasized that being around Samira Bawumia has been an educational experience that has molded their mindset and ambitions. They stated that anyone who spends time in her company without gaining knowledge or inspiration is missing out on a valuable opportunity. “We have learnt a lot from Samira Bawumia over the past 10 years of walking with her. If you walk with her and you don’t learn anything, then I think you are one of the most useless human beings on earth,” one of the twins remarked during the conversation.
Beyond their photography endeavors, the twins revealed aspirations to fully engage in politics in the near future. They clarified, however, that their political ambitions are not solely due to their association with Samira Bawumia. Their interest in politics, they explained, dates back to their university days when they were actively involved in student politics and established networks with individuals who have become significant figures in Ghana’s political landscape.
“We’ve always been politicians. Back in school, when we were learning to socialise with other people, we learnt a lot, especially speaking to people and becoming people’s people, and we won an award for being so popular. After walking with Samira Bawumia, we have understood how politics works and how politicians influence development in the country,” they shared.
The duo explained that their exposure to politics over the years, coupled with their experiences working with influential leaders, has further fueled their desire to contribute to national development through public service.
