Ghana international, Thomas Partey finished as Arsenal’s top rated player on Saturday afternoon when the team suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in the English Premier League.
In what is set to be his last match for the Gunners before travelling to Doha, Qatar to join the Black Stars camp ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, the combative midfielder displayed his brilliance throughout the 90 minutes he played against the Citizens.
Having won nine out of 15 duels and making four successful tackles plus completing five out of six dribbles, Thomas Partey finished the game with a high rating of 7.3.
The score accumulated by SofaScore makes the Black Stars talisman the top rated Arsenal player from today’s contest against Manchester City.
On the matchday, Arsenal led at the break courtesy of a fine strike from in-form teenager Bukayo Saka.
However, with Manchester City scoring twice in the second half through Riyad Mahrez and Pedri, the team cruised to a 2-1 comeback win against Arsenal at the end of the game.
Thomas Partey is now set to travel to Qatar to join the Black Stars camp to prepare for the AFCON set to commence in Cameroon next month.
