Accra: A 60-page book titled 'Think Outside the Box, Not Outside the Book' has been launched at Liberty Centre, Assemblies of God, La Paz in Accra. The event emphasized encouraging the younger generation to pursue their dreams and ambitions in alignment with the word of God.
According to Ghana News Agency, the book urges young people to think creatively and innovate while applying wisdom in harmony with the will and word of God to achieve their long-term goals. Rev. Dr. Ernest Brinkorang, the General Secretary of the Assemblies of God and Senior Pastor of Evangel Assembly in Adabraka, delivered the keynote address at the launch. He highlighted the responsibility to prepare young people for success without losing their spiritual values, emphasizing the need for creativity, talent, ambition, and integrity.
Rev. Dr. Brinkorang warned of the dangers of focusing solely on innovation, which could lead to forgetting fundamental truths and becoming disconnected from God's word. He advocated for methods and approaches to evolve while ensuring that the message remains biblically sound. He encouraged readers to use the book as a basis for discussions on Christian leadership and to test every new idea against God's word, citing biblical figures like David and Paul as examples of maintaining faith while innovating.
Deacon Stephen Asomani of WordBase Assembly, Assemblies of God, reviewed the book, stressing that Christians are encouraged to innovate while being guided by the Bible, rather than external influences. He asserted that creativity aligned with scripture will endure and highlighted biblical instances of innovation leading to victory without straying from God's teachings. The book aims to inspire innovation to address challenges in leadership, society, and personal lives.
Rev. Evans Ablysir, the book's author and Senior Pastor of Wordbase Assembly of God, urged attendees not to accept the status quo, especially if it fails to yield satisfactory results. He emphasized the book's message of aligning creative thinking with God's plans and purposes. He noted that while new ideas and creativity are heralded as progress engines, they can lead to societal issues if God is not sought in these endeavors. Rev. Ablysir shared that the book's title came from a prayer session, during which he realized its significance.
He encouraged readers to implement the book's principles for deeper insights into their goals, ambitions, leadership, and daily life.
