Kasoa: Francis Logah, a former teacher who transitioned to an 'Okada rider', revealed his success in constructing a two-bedroom house within a year of leaving the teaching profession. This achievement contrasts sharply with his six-year struggle as a teacher, during which he couldn't even afford the materials to start building on his mother's land.
According to Ghana Web, Logah shared his story on Neat FM, highlighting the financial challenges he faced as a teacher, which ultimately led to his career change in 2022. Despite his dedication to teaching, he was unable to make ends meet, often borrowing food on credit and settling the debts at the end of the month when his salary was disbursed.
Logah's decision to leave teaching was abrupt; he did not formally resign but simply stopped attending school and informed his headmistress of his decision when contacted. He made it clear that he did not want his salary paid into his account, indicating he had no intention of returning to the profession.
The move to become an 'Okada rider' not only improved his financial situation but also allowed him to achieve personal milestones, such as building a home for his family.
