Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly Elects New Presiding Member

Tarkwa: Mr. Ebenezer Kwabena Yeboah, a 33-year-old businessman, has been elected as the Presiding Member (PM) of the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly in the Western Region. He secured the position by polling 32 votes out of the 43 votes cast, defeating his only contender, Mr. Joseph Koffie, the former PM, who garnered 11 votes.

According to Ghana News Agency, Justice Mercy Adei Kotei, the Tarkwa High Court Judge, administered the oath of office to Mr. Yeboah, marking the beginning of his two-year tenure. Mr. Yeboah, who serves as the Assembly Member for Dompim Electoral Area, expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in him and urged assembly members to unite and support the assembly's development goals.

Mr. Yeboah committed to collaborating with Mr. Ebenezer Cobbinah, the Municipal Chief Executive, and the assembly staff to accelerate development initiatives in the area. Mr. Cobbinah praised the assembly members for their successful election of the PM on the first attempt and pledged to work closely with the Presiding Member to effectively perform his duties and address the municipality's challenges.
