Sunday’s game against RC Kadiogo will be tough – Kotoko captain Richard Boadu admits

Asante Kotoko captain, Richard Boadu says the team is geared up for the tough clash against RC Kadiogo in the CAF Champions League.

The Porcupine Warriors last weekend recorded a narrow 1-0 victory over the Burkinabe opponent in the first leg of the clash in the preliminary round of the CAF inter-club competition.

This weekend, the Reds must avoid a defeat to eliminate RC Kadiogo and edge closer to qualifying for the group stage of the competition.

Speaking to the press today, Richard Boadu has assured fans that the team is ready for the game.

“Sunday’s game is very important for all of us and we know it’s not going to be easy but we are ready for it,” Richard Boadu said.

The former Medeama SC midfielder added, “We all read about the history, however, this is our time to also make history and for us as players, our immediate target is to reach the group stage.”

The encounter between Asante Kotoko and RC Kadiogo will be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 18, 2022.
