Accra: The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has announced that its premium residential properties, currently available on the market, are competitively and fairly priced to ensure accessibility for prospective buyers, particularly those contributing to the pension scheme. Mr. Lord Koramoa, the Public Affairs Manager of SSNIT, emphasized that the housing projects are specifically targeted at workers and contributors, aligning with the Trust's objective to enable contributors to benefit directly from its investments.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Koramoa shared this information with journalists during a media tour of SSNIT's premium residential properties in Accra. The tour allowed media representatives to inspect the residential developments, explore available luxury apartments and townhouses, and gain firsthand insight into the Trust's housing investments. Mr. Koramoa explained that these properties are part of SSNIT's broader investment portfolio, where contributions from workers are utilized to generate returns for pension sustainability.
Mr. Koramoa stated that SSNIT collaborates with the Ghana Employers Association and labor unions to publicize the housing projects to workers nationwide. He expressed confidence in achieving significant returns from these investments while providing quality housing to contributors. Addressing affordability concerns, Mr. Koramoa assured that the properties are fairly and competitively priced, with the Board of SSNIT considering the target market in setting these prices.
He invited interested buyers to visit the SSNIT sales office on the sixth floor of Ridge Towers in Accra for acquisition details. Mr. Koramoa reiterated SSNIT's commitment to prudent investments that secure strong returns for contributors while addressing Ghana's growing housing needs.
The tour highlighted several properties, including Meridian Gardens in Klagon, Community 19 in Tema, a middle-class gated estate offering two and three-bedroom apartments with facilities such as fitted kitchens, backup water systems, generators, and paved roads. Eagles Place at Sakumono features a gated enclave of detached and semi-detached three-bedroom townhouses with amenities like a multi-purpose sports court, swimming pool, and communal recreational spaces.
Royal Tivoli Apartments, located at Sakumono, is a middle-class gated estate comprising four-storey apartment blocks with modern kitchen and sanitary facilities. The final stop was at Adinkra Heights estate in Cantonments, a luxury gated development offering two, three, and four-bedroom fitted apartments with features like fitted kitchens, air conditioners, elevators, backup water supply systems, and enhanced security infrastructure.
