Madina:Sidii Abubakar's campaign team has rejected the findings of a poll conducted by pollster Musah Dankwah regarding the upcoming Madina constituency parliamentary contest. They claim the figures do not align with their assessment of the candidate's support in the constituency.
According to Ghana Web, the campaign team expressed that the poll's reported 24.7 percent support for Sidii Abubakar severely underestimates his actual backing. They believe his support is much stronger than the numbers suggest.
The team also questioned the 14.7 percent support attributed to Razak Cissey, arguing that his visibility is limited to only one section, Madina West, making the constituency-wide figure appear inflated.
Furthermore, the team raised concerns about the neutrality of the poll, noting Musah Dankwah's previous public support for Razak Cissey. They suggest this could bias the poll results in Cissey's favor.
The campaign team also pointed out inconsistencies within the poll itself, arguing that if the incumbent MP's 23.1 percent figure is considered accurate, Cissey's support should be significantly lower than 14.7 percent.
Despite the poll controversy, Sidii Abubakar's campaign encouraged supporters to stay calm and focused. The team remains dedicated to engaging with constituents and advancing their agenda for the Madina constituency.
