London: Ghanaian music star Sarkodie has expressed his gratitude to event organisers, including Bizzle Entertainment and Kilimanjaro Live, after his flagship Rapperholic concert successfully filled the 5,000-capacity Royal Albert Hall in London.
According to Ghana News Agency, the performance was one of Sarkodie’s most significant international shows, attracting fans from across the UK and Europe. The award-winning rapper noted that the sold-out event was a result of the collective effort of various individuals and organisations who supported the production.
In a social media post, Sarkodie commended Mr Berny Sarfo, Chief Executive of Bizzle Entertainment, for his role in creating a landmark moment for his brand and for Ghanaian music. The rapper also revealed his ambitions for a larger stage next year, announcing plans to take Rapperholic to London’s 20,000-capacity O2 Arena, a venue typically reserved for major global acts.
Speaking after the show, Mr Sarfo described the Rapperholic concert at the Royal
Albert Hall as ‘historic for Ghana’, emphasizing that Sarkodie has the momentum and fan base to fill the O2. He remarked that it was the biggest concert held by any Ghanaian act in recent years in the UK and expressed hope that Sarkodie could build on it next year by hosting the concert at the O2 Arena.
Mr Sarfo further stated, “We at Bizzle Entertainment are willing to make his dream come true, and we have already started planning for the mega event next year.” Sarkodie launched the Rapperholic franchise in 2012, and the annual event has evolved into a significant platform for Ghanaian hip-hop and Afrobeats.
