The minister also advocated for African countries to strengthen their collective influence in global digital trade and technology governance. He underscored the importance of Africa taking an active role in shaping international technology policies, moving beyond merely consuming foreign innovations.
Succeeding Lesotho’s outgoing chairperson, George will lead the committee for two years starting in October 2026. His leadership is anticipated to provide Ghana an opportunity to collaborate with other African nations in advancing shared priorities in communication and ICT.
