Rev Owusu-Bempah Voices Support for Third-Term Agenda for President Mahama

Accra: The Founder of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Rev Isaac Owusu-Bempah, has expressed support for the idea of a third-term agenda for President John Dramani Mahama, citing the president's performance during his tenure.

According to Ghana Web, Rev Owusu-Bempah believes that President Mahama has done exceptionally well during his time in office and should not step down after his current term concludes. In an interview on Okay FM on January 23, 2026, Rev Owusu-Bempah stated that he is convinced no one else could manage the country as effectively as President Mahama.

Rev Owusu-Bempah emphasized that Mahama should be permitted to continue his leadership, unless the president himself chooses to step down. He highlighted President Mahama's achievements, including addressing national debts and stabilizing the economy, as reasons for his support. Owusu-Bempah questioned the rationale behind requiring a president who is performing well to leave office after just four years.

He further remarked that he personally does not wish for President Mahama to leave office, given the lack of an apparent successor who could match the president's capabilities. Rev Owusu-Bempah suggested that if President Mahama decides to step down, he should appoint a suitable successor to ensure the continued progress of the country.
