Accra: The Head Pastor of the Holy Hill Chapel, Assemblies of God Church, Rev Kwadwo Bempah, has stirred significant reactions online following a bold statement regarding the ongoing tithe controversy. In a video that has gained traction across social media platforms, Rev Bempah emphatically stated that he would not relinquish his tithe under any circumstance, even if it meant saving a life.
According to Ghana Web, the pastor explained his firm stance, asserting that offering his tithe to anyone other than God could jeopardize his salvation. "I won't give you my tithe; if you are dying, you will die. I won't give it to you. Because if I give it to you, I will join you in dying. But if I give my tithe, maybe God will raise you. So be careful," Rev Bempah emphasized in the viral video. His comments have sparked a broad discussion about the priority of religious obligations over humanitarian needs.
Rev Bempah further elaborated on his perspective by advising church members to prioritize the kingdom of God above all worldly affairs. He cautioned, "Those of you who have twisted so many things about God, unbelievers, when they hear this, they don't understand. It is God first."
