Accra: Mr. Joseph Kojo Attigah, a retired Director in Charge of Justice Administration at the Department of Social Welfare and Chief Executive Officer of JackleeTV and Radio (Online), has donated a smart television and projector to the Department. The donation marks a significant first, as it is the initial contribution of its kind from a retired staff member. Mr. Attigah's decision to donate these items was driven by his personal experiences with logistical challenges during training sessions for Probation Officers while he was in active service.
According to Ghana News Agency, Dr. Prince Boamah Abrah, the Director of the Department of Social Welfare, received the donated items on behalf of the Department. Dr. Abrah expressed his appreciation for the generous gesture and pledged that the projector would be utilized to enhance staff training and public education efforts. He highlighted that it was unprecedented for a retired officer to return and support the Department in such a manner, and he encouraged other former staff members to consider following in Mr. Attigah's footsteps.
Rev. Vida Danquah, Deputy Director of the Justice Administration Directorate, also extended her gratitude to Mr. Attigah on behalf of the staff. She described the donation as timely and beneficial to the Directorate's ongoing work, emphasizing its potential to significantly aid their operations.
