Respect our hustle and stop being our Judas — Epixode to entertainment pundits

Theophilus Nii Arday Otoo, better known as Epixode, a reggae-dancehall musician, has advised entertainment journalists to respect musicians’ efforts.

The musician bemoaned the increasingly negative news about musicians that always comes from so-called entertainment panellists.

Epixode stated in a Facebook post that there are many off-the-pitch sacrifices and work musicians do before they come up with a single song or even a verse, which should be commended rather than condemned.

“The disrespect is too much .. sometimes I wish these people know what it takes to write a simple line in a song not to talk of adding melody to create a 3min song hoping to make it a hit .. RESPECT AND MANNERS. WE ALL NEED EACH OTHER!” he lamented.

He warned pundits to be careful with their comments in order not to harm their (musicians’) careers.

The award-winning musician said show hosts should censor their panelists during programs.

“Think it’s time we try to filter and carefully give platforms to people who think they know all. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but those opinions shouldn’t water down the hard work of the others.

“It’s just sad that we turn to be the Judas to our own Jesus .. what have you done to support this artiste you are disrespecting,” said the “Atia Adonko” hitmaker.
