Accra: President John Dramani Mahama will on Saturday, June 27, engage the chiefs and people of the Central Region at a durbar as part of his Resetting Ghana tour. Dubbed 'The Citizens Engagement', the event is scheduled to take place at the Mephibosheth Training Center at Apam.
According to Ghana News Agency, a statement issued by the Presidency mentioned that the engagement would be attended by the Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang. This event will provide the Government with a platform to communicate ongoing reforms and policy interventions, infrastructure projects aimed at expanding the economy, and development projects in the Central Region. The engagement will also serve as an opportunity to gather feedback on the impact these initiatives have had so far.
The statement also highlighted that the President, his Vice, and key sector Ministers, including those from Roads and Highways, Health, and Education, are expected to address the forum. They will also take questions from the audience to further engage with the public.
Furthermore, the President is scheduled to inspect ongoing road projects on the second day of his tour, which are part of the Big Push Program. These inspections include the Rehabilitation of Apam - Mumford Road project, demonstrating the government's commitment to improving infrastructure in the region.
