Sunyani: Mr. Ransford Antwi, an Independent Parliamentary Candidate for the Sunyani East constituency in the 2024 elections, has expressed his gratitude to the Electoral Commission (EC) for refunding his filing fees.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Antwi emphasized that the refund would motivate young people to participate in politics, thereby contributing to the strengthening of the country's democratic process. He shared that the EC informed him of his qualification for a refund due to his performance in the 2024 General Elections.
Mr. Antwi made arrangements to collect the refund and thanked everyone who supported his six-month campaign, highlighting the crucial role of the EC. He also noted his surprise at the refund, acknowledging its significance in his political journey. Mr. Antwi is not only a political figure but also the CEO of the Suncity Group of Companies, which operates Sunyani's Suncity Radio.
