Kumasi:Professor Smart Sarpong, Director of Research and Innovation at the Kumasi Technical University, has criticized five ministries within the current administration, urging them to enhance their performance.
According to Ghana Web, Prof. Sarpong voiced his concerns on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', where he highlighted the underperformance of the Sports Ministry. He emphasized the need for Minister Kofi Adams to assert his authority to regain public confidence. Prof. Sarpong noted dissatisfaction with the ministry's performance over the past two years, particularly citing the poor performance of the Black Stars and recent scandals.
In addition to the Sports Ministry, Prof. Sarpong identified the Education Ministry, Tourism, Creative Arts and Culture Ministry, Transport Ministry, and the Interior Ministry as failing to bring honor to the government. He described the contributions of these ministries as "shameful" and urged them to reflect on their performance. He specifically criticized the chaotic state of the Education sector and the lackluster contributions of the Tourism, Creative Arts and Culture, Transport, and Interior ministries, calling for greater accountability and ownership of their responsibilities.
