Accra: Entertainment pundit and content creator Priscy Wan has criticised the decision to have Hajia4Reall present an award at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs). She argued that the singer should have turned down the invitation.
According to Ghana Web, Priscy Wan mentioned during a discussion on Adom TV on May 17, 2026, that Hajia4Reall’s appearance on stage was met with an awkward silence, which she described as humiliating. ‘Hajia4Reall is someone who has been prosecuted, and it is on record that she is a criminal. She could have declined the invitation to present the award. When she was on stage to present the award, the audience was silent. It was humiliating because people wanted her to finish and leave,’ she said.
Priscy Wan noted that the socialite and musician has not yet realized that public perception of her has changed following her legal troubles. ‘She has lost her spark, but she has not realized it yet,’ she stated. Priscy Wan also questioned the judgment of the organizers of the Tele
cel Ghana Music Awards, suggesting that the move sent the wrong message to the public. ‘It is like the TGMAs do not know who they are or the kind of brand they have. They have shown that they are amplifying bad deeds. They are trying to tell us that as long as you have money, it does not matter if you commit a crime,’ she shared.
While stressing that she was not attempting to assassinate Hajia4Reall’s character, Priscy Wan said the facts surrounding the singer’s case are already in the public domain. ‘I do not want it to look like I am doing character assassination, but the record is there,’ she noted.
She further argued that Hajia4Reall has been overly visible since returning from prison, citing her immediate return to music and public appearances. ‘Ever since Hajia4Reall came back from prison, she has been doing too much. She released a song immediately after her release and does not want to relax and do her own thing. She should sometimes read the room because it will make her realize that she is not sup
posed to be at certain places,’ she added.
