According to Ghana Web, Shatta Wale took legal action against social media personality Priscilla Kyeremaa, popularly known as Priscy Wan, over comments she made about him in a TikTok video. In a letter dated September 10, 2026, lawyers for Shatta Wale, Porta Legis Consultancy, accused Priscy Wan of making false and damaging statements about the musician in a video published on her TikTok page, 'prisywan1', on August 29, 2026.
The lawyers said the video was published a day after Shatta Wale granted an interview to broadcaster Serwaa Amihere on August 28, 2026, and was directed at issues arising from that interview. According to the lawyers, Priscy Wan made several comments about the musician, including: 'Shatta, I am so sorry. I am sorry for saying this, but you have to take your mental health seriously. Like you need to prioritise it.' She also described him as a 'confused artiste.' The lawyers argued that, when considered in their ordinary meaning and the context in which they were made, the comments suggested to viewers that Shatta Wale had a mental health problem that required serious attention.
They said the description of him as a 'confused artiste', coupled with the comments about his mental health, was capable of creating a disparaging impression of him. The lawyers also took issue with the fact that the comments were made publicly on TikTok and were subsequently circulated by bloggers and social media users, thereby reaching an audience beyond Priscy Wan's followers.
In his video plea, Appiah Stadium expressed his admiration for both Shatta Wale and Priscy Wan. 'Shatta Wale, even if my sister hadn't begged you, you know I'm your number one fan. Please forgive her. I even wish you would include her in your brand. Make her one of your best communicators because Priscy Wan is an asset to our country,' he said.
He continued, 'I love her accent, and I really love her. I, Appiah Stadium, the son of the president of Ghana, I'm kneeling to beg you. Priscy has apologized, but I'm also begging on her behalf. I love you so much, Shatta.'
Appiah Stadium went on to praise the influence of Shatta Wale's brand, adding that it would not be surprising if the musician one day aspired to become 'President of Africa.' 'Your brand is so big that it will not be surprising if you're elected as the president of Africa. Kindly add Priscy to your brand. The offence she had committed is even a privilege for both of you,' he stated. He added, 'I'm her number one supporter. If she offended you, put all the offence on me and forgive her.'
