Abuja: Parliament has reaffirmed its solidarity with Mr Haruna Iddrisu, Minister of Education, and Mr Adam Sukparu, Deputy Minister for Communications and Digital Technology, following their involvement in a road traffic accident.
According to Ghana News Agency, a statement issued by Mr David Sebastian Damoah, Director of Media Relations at the Parliamentary Service, expressed Parliament's sympathy for the two Ministers after the incident. The statement highlighted Parliament's commiseration with the families of the Ministers, their constituents, and the general public, acknowledging the shock experienced by them.
The statement further mentioned that the Speaker of Parliament, Mr Alban Bagbin, along with the bipartisan leadership and Members of Parliament, visited the hospital to demonstrate their support and solidarity on behalf of the entire House.
Parliament conveyed its wishes for a swift and full recovery for the two Ministers and assured the public that there is no cause for alarm as the Ministers continue to receive necessary medical care.
