Iran: Atwima Nwabiagya North: A total of 203 officials have been mobilized to oversee the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region. The deployment includes 17 supervisors and their assistants, 143 invigilators, and 20 police officers, who are responsible for maintaining order and compliance with examination regulations across 17 centres.
According to Ghana News Agency, the examination will host 4,327 candidates from 44 public and 47 private schools under the District Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES). Out of the total, public schools have presented 3,527 candidates, consisting of 1,715 males and 1,812 females. Meanwhile, private schools have registered 800 candidates, with 412 males and 388 females.
Addressing the officials prior to the examination, Mr. Frank Duah Boateng, the District Director of Education, emphasized the importance of strict adherence to examination rules. He urged the officials to uphold high standards of professionalism to prevent any irregularities, highlighting that their conduct would set an example for the candidates. Mr. Boateng warned that any breach of regulations could result in sanctions, including potential legal actions.
He also cautioned candidates against engaging in examination malpractice, reminding them that such behavior could lead to the cancellation or withholding of their results. Mr. Boateng encouraged the students to remain confident, diligent, and to approach the examination with integrity.
