Accra: Following the global trend of artistes finding fulfillment in headlining their own concerts at sports stadiums, veteran Hiplife musician Okyeame Kwame has stated that he is not focused on hosting or filling stadiums with musical concerts. In an interview on Talk To Kula aired on May 4, 2026, he explained that while he once had that ambition, he now finds fulfillment in other things rather than filling a stadium.
According to Ghana Web, the 50-year-old rapper clarified that if the opportunity arises to fill a stadium, he would not rule it out, but he is simply not fixated on it. He expressed that sitting by a river and contemplating life is more fulfilling to him than organizing large concerts. Okyeame Kwame emphasized his desire for happiness and enjoying life, acknowledging that he has limited time left and wishes to avoid unnecessary burdens.
Okyeame Kwame further added that he is more interested in making an impact in Ghana through his music and interactions with people seeking the country's development. He aims to focus on learning new things and contributing positively to society, which aligns more with his current direction.
Several Ghanaian musicians, including Medikal, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Fancy Gadam, and Shatta Wale, have headlined sold-out concerts in various stadiums across the country, indicating a thriving culture of stadium concerts in Ghana.
