The Secretariat has appealed to all tricycle operators to exercise patience and refrain from implementing the new fares until discussions are finalized. It underscored the importance of understanding the challenges faced by riders, such as rising fuel prices and increasing operational costs, while also considering the financial difficulties of passengers.
The statement highlighted the goal of achieving a balanced solution that maintains the sustainability of tricycle operations and ensures fare affordability for passengers. The NUTOG Ho Zonal Secretariat urged both riders and passengers to remain calm and cooperative during the consultation process.
