Accra: Scores of New Patriotic Party (NPP) faithful have shared their views on who they prefer as the party's flagbearer ahead of the primaries scheduled for January 31, 2026. In a vox pop conducted by GhanaWeb's Victoria Kyei-Baffour, the majority of NPP supporters expressed their support for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and Kennedy Agyapong.
According to Ghana Web, Dr Bawumia is favored by many due to his vision for the country and his experience in government, having served as Vice President. Supporters believe that his track record positions him as a strong candidate to lead the party.
On the other hand, Kennedy Agyapong also garnered significant support. His proponents highlighted his plans for job creation and economic empowerment for Ghanaians, which they believe will be beneficial if he leads the party into the 2028 general elections.
