Accra: The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has announced that he has secured firm backing from party delegates and executives in the North East Region as he seeks re-election to maintain his position.
According to Ghana Web, in a Facebook post on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, Kodua mentioned that his interactions with party stakeholders throughout the region had bolstered his confidence in their dedication to his leadership and the NPP's strategy for the 2028 general election. He expressed his gratitude to the delegates, constituency executives, and party leaders in the region for their warm reception, noting that their support serves as motivation to continue efforts to strengthen the party's framework.
Kodua emphasized that his vision is centered on rebuilding the party, restoring member confidence, and forming a united front that is capable of achieving victory in the forthcoming elections. "The momentum is growing. The mission is clear. Victory is within reach," he declared, highlighting that the support from the North East Region had reinforced his determination to position the NPP for success in 2028.
