Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and Deputy Chief Executive Officers of State Entities presented a cheque for GH¢500,000.
00 to the COVID-19
National Trust Fund to help tackle the pandemic.
The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA),
on the other hand, gave a cheque for GH¢250,000.00 to the Fund managers.
The cheques were received by some members of the
Board of Trustees of the Fund at a press briefing on Wednesday.
The briefing was to update the media on the
current state of COVID-19 in Ghana and measures taken by government to manage
the situation.
According to the CEOs and the deputies, the
donation was from their individual contributions and not from their respective
institutions.
They gave the assurance that they would
contribute more to support the fight against the virus.
