Accra: Nestl© Ghana Limited has launched a three-month 'Maggi loyalty promo' aimed at rewarding market women and customers for their longstanding loyalty. The promotion, which was unveiled in Accra, offers rewards such as televisions, refrigerators, and plots of land, strengthening the company's relationship with traders and ensuring regular product availability.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Agyemang Duah, Head of Commercial Development at Nestl© Ghana, emphasized during the launch that the programme is designed to honor the loyalty of market women who have supported the brand for over two decades. He noted that these women are more than just distributors; they are community leaders and household pillars who remained with the brand even during challenging supply times. The initiative seeks to recognize their unwavering support and contribution.
Mr. Duah elaborated on the logistical challenges that Maggi faced due to external sourcing, which affected its market share. He explained that these challenges have been addressed through the localization of operations and partnerships with a co-packer to ensure product availability. "Before, we were sourcing Maggi externally, but today, we are doing the pressing of Maggi locally in Ghana. This is helping us with quick availability," he stated.
Mr. Mark Okyere Mensah, Category Manager for Nestl© Culinary, urged customers to continue their engagement with the company, highlighting the value placed on customer feedback. He announced that a new and improved product would soon be introduced, aligning with the company's commitment to quality and nutrition. "We have received feedback on our product texture and softness... The product has started coming in," he assured.
Maame Esi Mensah, a trader at Makola Market, expressed optimism about the programme, noting that it would bring relief to retailers who had faced supply shortages. She shared how the promotion could transform the lives of beneficiaries, such as winning a plot of land to build a house, signifying recognition of their contributions.
