NDC Government Creating Opportunities for Youth, Says Deputy Regional Chairman

Nkawie: The National Democratic Congress (NDC) government is actively working to create reliable employment opportunities for the youth through various interventions. Alhaji Salisu Musah, the Ashanti Regional Vice Chairperson of the NDC, emphasized the government's commitment to reducing poverty and restoring hope among young people during a meeting with NDC polling station youth organizers in Nkawie, Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency.

According to Ghana News Agency, Alhaji Musah highlighted the government's flagship programs aimed at fostering economic growth, which are expected to benefit all party members. He encouraged the youth to remain steadfast despite any opposition, attributing the party's victory in the 2024 elections to their dedication and hard work.

In his remarks, Mr. Wisdom Osei Boamah, the Municipal Chief Executive, praised the youth for their role in increasing the party's votes across 197 polling stations. He noted an improvement in his performance as the 2024 Parliamentary Candidate, with his vote share rising to over 27 percent from below 25 percent since 1992. He attributed this success to the efforts of the youth and polling station executives.

Mr. Boamah further stressed the importance of retaining experienced youth leaders in their positions during internal elections and urged them to continue their commitment to the party's cause. He described the youth as future leaders and valuable assets to the party, the municipality, and the nation.

Mr. Maxwell Acheampong, the constituency youth organizer, expressed gratitude to the participants and the youth wing for their cooperation and patience as the government and party leadership work to address their concerns.
