Ghanaian reggae-dancehall singer, Mercy Onuawonto Sam, popularly known as iOna Reine has given the reason that pushed her to masturbation.
It got to a point in her marriage where her ex-husband refused to have sex with her for several months, according to the popular singer.
That she said made her opt for masturbation to satisfy her sexual desires since she wasn’t ready to venture into extramarital affairs.
She revealed in an interview with SVTV Africa that she even chose drugs and watching pornography, which later became part of her.
“You’re married. Problems don’t matter. It’s no justification to sleep around. I needed to physically appreciate porn after seeing it. I self-touched. Drug-like.
“After a time, 5 milligrams won’t work. Increase the dosage. That’s a drug. I stopped massaging my thighs and bought a massager. “I got obsessed,” she said.
The famed musician said the masturbation, watching of pornography, and drug abuse made her so ill that she “wanted to quit but couldn’t” due to how attached she became to the new lifestyle.
