MP Donates School Uniforms to 150 Needy Pupils in South Tongu

South tongu: In a gesture aimed at promoting equitable access to education, 150 needy pupils across selected basic schools in the South Tongu constituency have received school uniforms. This initiative is part of a broader effort to support vulnerable pupils and enhance their confidence and participation in school activities. According to Ghana News Agency, the donation was spearheaded by Mr. Lukutor, who highlighted the importance of identifying beneficiaries during an earlier bicycle donation exercise. This previous initiative, conducted in collaboration with TV3 Ghana, focused on pupils who travel long distances to attend school in the region. Mr. Lukutor emphasized the unacceptable nature of children attending classes in worn-out uniforms, noting that the uniform donation seeks to restore the dignity of these pupils and foster a conducive learning environment. Mr. Lukutor encouraged the pupils to stay focused and resilient in their educational pursuits, asserting that their background should not hinder their aspirations. Reflecting on his own experience as a former student of Kpotame DA Basic School, he stated, "As a proud product of Kpotame DA Basic School, I am living proof that with determination, discipline, and opportunity, our children can compete with the best anywhere in Ghana and beyond." Reaffirming his commitment to education, Mr. Lukutor pledged continued support for initiatives that bolster teaching and learning outcomes within the constituency. He also called upon associations, non-governmental organizations, and development partners to collaborate with his office in expanding opportunities, strengthening social interventions, and promoting sustainable development in South Tongu. Expressing optimism about the future, Mr. Lukutor conveyed his belief that through collective efforts, the constituency will continue to build a stronger, fairer, and more prosperous future for its residents.
