Mother of Three Seeks Refund from Ex-Husband on Live TV

Dunka:A mother of three, Abena Asantewaa, from Dunka in the Ashanti Region, has publicly confronted her former husband, Emmanuel Amuzu, a Church of Pentecost elder, on Oyerepa Afutuo, a TV program dedicated to resolving domestic disputes. The confrontation centered around a financial disagreement following their 13-year marriage.

According to Ghana Web, Asantewaa appeared on the program demanding a refund of GHS300,000. She claimed this amount was spent on items from the marriage list provided by her family before their wedding. She expressed regret over the marriage, citing years of dissatisfaction and unresolved issues despite having three children with Amuzu.

Asantewaa recounted that during their engagement, Amuzu was building a house and had asked her to purchase the marriage list items with a promise to reimburse her, which she alleged he never fulfilled. She also claimed that Amuzu did not account for part of the money received during the wedding ceremony.

Further allegations made by Asantewaa included communication problems and an unsatisfactory sexual relationship with her husband, where she claimed he forced himself on her. She stated that she had never seen his manhood despite their years together, which added to her dissatisfaction.

She reported the issues to a church elder, who allegedly advised her to be patient with Amuzu, describing him as a holy man. The elder also purportedly suggested a pornographic film for Amuzu to watch for marital guidance, which Asantewaa claimed he watched alone.

After separating, Asantewaa revealed that Amuzu married her best friend, while she has moved on to a new relationship. Despite the separation, she insists on the refund of the GHS300,000 she spent on the marriage list. In response to her claims on the show, Amuzu denied owing the money.

The host of the program instructed Asantewaa to present the marriage list for examination to facilitate the resolution of the financial dispute between the former couple.
