Nkwanta south: Mr John Kwadwo Gyapong, the Oti Regional Minister, has pledged to personally supervise all construction projects across the region to ensure quality work and prevent contractors from delivering substandard projects. He emphasized that he will not remain in the office signing certificates for contractors without first inspecting the work done.
According to Ghana News Agency, the Minister made this statement during his visit to the Nkwanta South Municipality to inspect ongoing projects and address security issues affecting the development of the area. He stressed that his administration would prioritize proper monitoring and supervision of all government projects.
He emphasized that before approving or signing any certificate for a contractor, he would make sure he had personally visited the project site to assess the progress and quality of the work. The Minister noted that this decision was part of efforts to ensure that development projects in the region meet the required standards and serve the people effectively.
The Minister warned contractors to carry out their duties diligently, adding that any form of shoddy work would not be tolerated under his leadership.
