Mensa Otabil Criticizes Women’s Pursuit of Wealthy Partners

Accra:Pastor Mensa Otabil, the General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), has criticized women who pursue relationships with already successful men rather than working towards their own financial independence.

According to Ghana Web, Pastor Otabil shared his views in a video circulated on social media. He questioned the mindset of women who prefer marrying rich men, suggesting that this implies a lack of belief in their ability to achieve wealth independently.

In his comments, Pastor Otabil expressed his frustration with the portrayal of women in some African films, where they are depicted as reliant on affluent men for support. He described this perspective as limiting and urged women to transcend these societal expectations.

Pastor Otabil emphasized that women are capable of achieving success on their own merits, encouraging them to strive for personal wealth and self-sufficiency rather than relying on a partner's financial status.
