Young artist Ejike Fresh has accused rapper Medikal of stealing his ‘Accra’ from him.
According to him, he had composed an original song with a different title, ‘Tarkwa Takoradi’ in 2019 and reached out to the rapper for collaboration but the latter had charged an outrageous price.
“If I have to beef anybody right now that will be Medikal because three years ago after I did the Tarkwa Takoradi song I reached out to him for collaboration and he charged me GHc40,000 but I couldn’t afford the money because I was a street boy and I had nothing,” he narrated.
He added that his team sent the original song to Medikal’s manager Flow Delly who asked them to hold.
Ejike’s management proceeded to send the song to other well-known artists like Kofi Kinaata, Patapaa, Article Wan who directly rejected the offer.
When asked what he wishes for the rapper as punishment, Ejike stated that he would like to be compensated and proceed with a collaboration.
Ejike however performed his version of his song which he released 3 years later on the Fresh Juice show on Joy Prime.
