Martinelli and Zubimendi Attract Interest from Major European Clubs

London: Arsenal duo Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Zubimendi are said to have attracted interest from major European clubs as the 2026/2027 transfer window enters its decisive phase.

According to Ghana Web, Turkish side Galatasaray have submitted a bid for Martinelli, with the Premier League club weighing up the offer to decide the winger's future. Spanish midfielder Zubimendi has also drawn interest from Chelsea, though a possible deal has not advanced, and no official bid has yet been launched.

In other transfer news, Aston Villa have held talks with West Ham to sign right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with the DR Congo defender valued at £25m. Ipswich are set to complete the signing of right-back/midfielder Abdoul Ouattara from Strasbourg. Aston Villa have also offered Bayern Munich a loan with an option to buy Portugal midfielder Joo Palhinha, though the German club prefer a permanent transfer.

Newcastle are pressing ahead with talks to sign right-back Amar Dedic from Benfica, with the Bosnia and Herzegovina international valued at around £25m. Hull City are confident of finalizing a deal for Augsburg midfielder Mert Komur, despite having a £10.2m bid rejected for the German player.

Newcastle midfielder Joe Willock is open to joining Besiktas, with a £20m deal possibly enough to secure the Englishman. Additionally, Brighton and Cameroon midfielder Carlos Baleba is a target for Newcastle as they look to replace Brazilian Bruno Guimares and Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali. Hull City are close to completing a permanent deal to re-sign Joe Gelhardt from Leeds after the striker spent the past two seasons on loan at the Tigers.
