Legon Cities: We did the talking against Asante Kotoko on the pitch – Maxwell Konadu

Maxwell Konadu, Legon Cities gaffer, has lauded his players following their win over Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The Royals were hosted at the Baba Yara Stadium in the matchday 26 games.

Cities deepened the woes of the Porcupine Warriors with a 3-1 win.

Hans Kwofie netted a brace before Michael Otuo scored to seal the win for the capital based club.

Speaking after the game, the former Black Stars assistant coach feels elated after his side picked up all the three points against his former club.

“Our job speaks for us, I mean when you have a small team like Legon Cities, you don’t need to talk too much before the big games,” he said.

“It’s a team I respect so much, it’s a club I love so much, it’s a club I know so well and steadied so well before we came here.

“I think that made the trick for us. We’ve been working so hard, we were struggling at the beginning of the season. As and when the season was progressing, our game was also improving.

“The system is helping our players to get the best out of them. The players are really working hard,” he added.
