Kweku Darlington Asserts the Existence of “Juju” and Other Mystical Phenomena

CAPE COAST: Kweku Darlington, a singer and producer from Kumasi, has stirred conversation by asserting that mystical phenomena such as “juju,” witchcraft, and dwarfs are indeed real, despite skepticism from those who have not experienced them firsthand.

According to Ghana Web, Darlington expressed these views during an interview on Property FM in Cape Coast, emphasizing that anything with a name must have an existence. He suggested that the disbelief surrounding these phenomena is primarily due to a lack of personal experience. “In this world, anything that has a name truly exists, so we should keep that at the back of our minds that anything we heard from our parents is there,” Darlington stated, urging listeners to remain open-minded about such beliefs.

Darlington further elaborated that while many may not have encountered these mystical elements, their existence should not be dismissed. He noted, “If you’ve ever heard the name Dwarf before it exists but maybe you’ve not seen it and if you’ve heard witchc
raft it’s also there so let it be in your mind that it exists.” He advised individuals to live their lives in a manner that avoids negative encounters with these phenomena, suggesting that firsthand experiences would lead to a better understanding of their reality.

The singer’s comments have sparked discussions on the cultural significance and belief in mystical powers within certain communities. His statements underscore a broader conversation about the intersection of traditional beliefs and modern skepticism.
