Kwasi Sibo to Make Al-Swehly Debut Against Espérance in CAF Champions League

Accra:Ghana international Kwasi Sibo is set to make his debut for Libyan club Al-Swehly in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League against Espérance Sportive de Tunis from Tunisia. The midfielder joined Al-Swehly during the summer transfer window but missed the first round of the competition. He is expected to feature when the Libyan side hosts Espérance on Sunday.

According to Ghana Web, the match is scheduled to kick off at 1700 GMT, with the return leg taking place on Saturday, 24 October, in Tunisia. Al-Swehly aims to secure a positive result at home to enhance their chances of advancing to the group stage of the 2026-27 CAF Champions League.

Sibo's experience will be crucial as Al-Swehly seeks to overcome the Tunisian giants and establish themselves among the continent's elite clubs. Additionally, the former Real Oviedo player could make a return to the Ghana national team for their upcoming matches against Somalia in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Ghana is set to play Somalia at the Accra Sports Stadium in November as they attempt to revive their qualifying campaign following defeats in their initial two matches against Côte d'Ivoire and The Gambia.
