Accra: Media personality Kwame Mario has advised Frederick Kumi, also known as Abu Trica, to consider accepting a plea agreement if it offers him an opportunity to secure a reduced sentence.
According to Ghana Web, Kwame Mario expressed his views during a discussion on Angel FM in Kumasi. He emphasized that prioritizing one's personal interest in legal proceedings can sometimes be the most practical course of action. Mario suggested that if Abu Trica loves himself, he should opt for a plea deal, colloquially referred to as 'snitching,' as it could potentially lessen his sentence.
Kwame Mario highlighted the potential consequences of prolonging the legal battle, suggesting that it may only exacerbate Abu Trica's situation. He warned that dragging out the issue could result in increased stress from the U.S. authorities.
Furthermore, Kwame Mario argued against the idea of self-sacrifice to protect others, pointing out that those individuals may continue with their lives while one remains incarcerated.
